The staff were helpful, providing a high-level of customer service. The car had not been prepared fully. The inside of the windows were not clean. We do not notice this driving in at night with light glare from on-coming vehicles.

People who dealt with me were very efficient from start to finish. From a BMW point of view, as this was a recall, so a fault not of my own, I was disappointed not to be offered a courtesy car. I had to spend £30 on taxis getting home and back again.

My vehicle was incorrectly serviced. The car is an Alpina G31 B5 touring. Reading the key or using the BMW vin shows the vehicle as the base car (540ix) upon which Alpina build the B5. As a result insufficient engine oil was used to refill it.

BMW sent me a letter the day after the recall service advising that yet another recall will be required to replace the EGR cooler but that they are not able to do it yet. BMW KNOWS there is a problem and is prolonging it. Just renew the cooler NOW!
